Shears Road/Faith Road, Davidson, NC

Davidson, North Carolina is a town with much to offer. It’s right on Lake Norman, which makes it perfect for boaters and aquatic sports enthusiasts. It’s suburban, which is great for families, yet it’s just a few miles north of Charlotte, so big city amenities are never too far out of the way. It’s the best of all possible worlds, you might say, and as such it is a great place to call home. If you’re planning on moving to Davidson, you’re in luck: There are several neighborhoods and communities that offer beautiful homes, valuable properties, and active HOAs. One community worth spotlighting is the area surrounding Shears Road and Faith Road.

Shears Road and Faith Road: About the Area

This area is located on the northern side of Davidson, and much of it encompasses the lake itself; so, for those drawn to Davidson for its Lake Norman proximity, pay attention! This may be the part of town for you. This is a reasonably affluent part of town with reasonably expensive homes, which is not too surprising given its lake proximity. Don’t let this scare you away, however, as there is much variety here and some options for everyone. There are medium and large homes here—that is, homes spanning from three to five bedrooms—and also some rental opportunities. This is very much an “established” neighborhood, meaning the homes were mostly built between 1970 and 1990, though there are also some new, post-2000 developments to choose from. Vacancy rates in the area are fairly average, which means it is not impossible to find a good, available home here—though you’ll probably want to act quickly when you do!
