Riverview Community in Fort Mill, South Carolina

Riverview Community in Fort Mill, South Carolina

Though located in South Carolina, Fort Mill is perhaps best thought of as a suburb of Charlotte, North Carolina. It’s located just over the border, and offers a best-of-both-worlds scenario—close proximity to Charlotte’s big city bustles but also the more tranquil and secluded feel of small-town, suburban life.

Fort Mill boasts a number of great neighborhoods, too—communities that all come with distinct character and features. If you’re planning a move to the Fort Mill area, we recommend taking a closer look at Riverview, a neighborhood that’s got plenty going for it.

A Closer Look at Riverview

A suburban neighborhood, Riverview is filled primarily with three- and four-bedroom homes, intended for growing and established families. These homes tend to be on the nicer side, and indeed, this is what you would call an affluent area. With that said, it’s also perfectly accommodating to families of all shapes and sizes, and there are a number of affordable rental options in the community, too.

One particular note to make about Riverview is that it boasts Riverview Elementary—one of the finest elementary schools in the area with an active parent-teacher organization. Those seeking further educational options will note the presence of Fort Mill Academy, just a short drive down the road. Additionally, Riverview is near Fort Mill Golf Club, so if golfing is your thing then you’ll never be at a loss for what to do here!

Living in Fort Mill

The best thing about life in Riverview, though, is simply that it means you’re in Fort Mill—always a great place to be! Fort Mill has plenty going for it, including its close proximity to Charlotte and to Rock Hill; its wealth of shopping and restaurant opportunities; golfing aplenty; and a number of prominent businesses that call the town home, among them Muzak Holdings, Springs Industries, and Continental Tire.

Downtown Fort Mill has a lot of beautiful parks, a vibrant and growing “First Friday” tradition, and more. For amusement park lovers, Carrowinds is right up the road!

And of course, Fort Mill is dotted with lovely homes and well-maintained communities. Riverview is one of the best, but it’s hardly the only one we’d recommend. Spend some time in the area. Look around. Investigate some different neighborhoods, paying special attention not just to individual properties but to the HOA management activity. The latter is a great indicator of just how prosperous, how put-together a community really is!
