The implementation of lean management initiatives tend to be common during periods of recession and economic tumult, but sometimes they are brought on by a completely different set of reasons. Kuester Management, an HOA management company serving both Carolinas, has announced a lean management program that will effectively streamline its operations and allow for cost-effective expansion. Bryan Kuester, the Vice President who oversees Kuester’s association management team, says the partnership with GDC isn’t about cutting corners or pinching pennies, but rather about maximizing the services offered to clients. “The important thing in all of this is our customers. We want to make sure that, as we grow, the service we offer them does not suffer and that our standards do not go downhill.”

Indeed, Kuester is seeing to it that the first step in this campaign is to rally customer support. The company is sending surveys to select clients, and asking all its customers to weigh in on what they’d like to see Kuester offer and where they’d like to see it go in coming years. “Input from our customers is the central thing,” says Kuester. “We want to make sure these new steps are giving our clients what they need, not just offering expanded services for the sake of offering expanded services.”

Kuester also says that he is confident that the steps taken with GDC will ultimately be a boon to both company and client. Speaking about company CEO Curtis Walker, Kuester says, “He’s a guy who is just good at getting things done. We fully trust he and his team to provide us with the expertise we need to move our company forward.” Walker and his team will be working closely with Kuester Management to ensure that the company’s operations are streamlined without interruption to any current services.

On that front, Walker and the GDC team will be assessing the current situation at Kuester and offering carefully-analyzed suggestions for adjustments, expansions, and transitions.
