Charlotte, North Carolina is a city of astonishing diversity. A city on the rise, Charlotte has a number of new communities and subdivisions that exude modern style and contemporary class.   • Olde Providence is a fairly affluent part of Charlotte. That doesn’t mean there are no affordable homes, nor does it mean there are no reasonably priced rentals, but do keep in mind that it is a relatively high-end part of town.
  • Based on population density, this is technically a “suburban” part of Charlotte, and affords a certain level of privacy and quiet that the busier sections of the Queen City might not have.
  • In terms of real estate, Olde Providence is characterized primarily by medium- and large-sized single family residences, and also by some apartment buildings.
  • Like most of Charlotte, Olde Providence is marked by immense ethnic diversity, including a fairly sizable Greek population.

Also noteworthy: Olde Providence has a number of senior living centers, which makes it a good place for families who wish to remain connected and in close proximity to older relatives.
