If you’re not already familiar with it, Davidson College is one of the most prestigious and competitive liberal arts schools in the country. Originally founded in 1837 by a group of Presbyterians, Davidson College is located just under 20 miles to the north of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Davidson has two campuses—its main branch consisting of 665 acres, its “lake” campus encompassing around 110. It has a student body comprised of 1,950 academics, more or less evenly split between women and men and including 25 percent students of color, plus roughly 6 percent international students. The vast majority of Davidson’s students live on campus.
